Whats the point ?

September 4th, 2010 — 12:41pm

What’s the point ? This question arise in me when I book out on Friday, get back to my home, turn on my laptop only to know that apple release a new iPod touch, with camera, “wow ! Finally it’s so cool !”. But on a second thought, why is there a front face camera and face talk on a device that do not even have a slot for sim card? In Singapore, wireless hotspot is everywhere, however there are some place which is crucial forte use of such application; do not have a wireless hotspot, places such as, in the bus, on a taxi and much more…

And with apple capabilities, it isn’t not possible for them just to add a antenna and a sim card slot into a 7.55mm thin iPod touch to make it the thinnest iPhone on earth, by then it would be even more sexier than the current iPhone 4. (I mean it, really)

But nevertheless, apple still amuse me on their talent in squeezing everything into such a thin box.

Long time.

May 23rd, 2010 — 1:13pm

It’s been…hmm…can’t calculate actually, that I have written a post on my blog.

So what are the reason that I have not been a frequent person to the blog ? The answer is…Twitter ! As a micro-blogging system twitter is, I have become more and more lazy to do up a long post in my blog.

Enlisting in 3rd Jun ! Hope everything turns out fine =)

Had my graduation on the 20th of May 2010, with that, it marks the completion in part of my life, and of course, with many to go.

Designer Style Fonts

February 1st, 2010 — 11:07pm

Yes, couldn’t agree more that the stocks font available is boring when over usage, thus there are people out there that spend their valuable time creating much more pleasing fonts for anyone who is using it/reading it.

One of the most frequent website that i visited is, http://www.fontsquirrel.com/. It house thousand and thousand of fonts that are so nice that you feel bad not downloading it; okie, a bit of exaggerating here. Nevertheless, no harm browsing it though, right yea?

Some news and updates about web coding, CSS3 is dam cool, I think people who are doing on basic web design should take a look at this; together with jquery, it makes a website look even more refine and professional.

Here are some font for your to enjoy, I find it quite clean and nice.

Enemy is more than just what.

February 1st, 2010 — 10:44pm

I chance upon this and instantly it made an impact on me, so hard that I realise that I have make a mistake for the past of my life.

“Think of and look at your work as though it were done by your enemy. If you look at it to admire it, you are lost” — Samuel Butler

It struck me so hard that I think I had been making a mistake throughout my entire design life, which is to admire my work, finally now I got the motivation of moving forward in design, far more than I can ever made.

Anyway, I got this quote from this website when I chance upon it, http://inspire.boranikolic.com/

The iPad

January 29th, 2010 — 12:25pm

ipad-420x0
The long awaiting rumors of Apple’s Tablet have finally been release on the 27th of Jan 2010, so whats the verdict of the long anticipated Tablet have got for us?

It certainly does look ‘Apple-rish’ through the form factor, but however it certainly does not fulfill much of our desire and hopes that we have for the Tablet.

1. No card reader? No USB port? No Mini DVI output?
By not having a USB or even a card reader is fully understandable, but, not having an DVI output is totally handicapping the apple tablet. It already house enough storage space that would be viable for commercial usage, it is already fully touch screen makes it no reason for them to place a USB drive on their sexy looking tablet, but not having a DVI output would only means it is a device that can only sync with iTunes to transfer file from programs such as iWork. This would only means that the sexy looking machine is only meant for editing works, read books and surfing web.

As a business man, an iPhone and a macbook would already satisfied all the needs, by having a tablet to them would only means to carry a macbook along due to the fact that presentation on iPad would only be on the screen itself. This lead to the next point that I am going to mention.

2. Whats with the BIG black frame along the side of the iPad making the screen so SMALL.
If anyone would notice, the screen size is ONLY that big, and the surrounding is being frame up by such a thick black frame that I see as of no use. And with such a proportion, I wonder why are they using back the same dimension of the ‘Home’ button that they use on iPhone and iPod Touch. It seems that the button is reuse for the sake of having a consistence design language throughout their entire product line; not about thinking what a user really needs and wants.

3.Running iPhone OS ? Kidding Me?
Even before iPad released on 27th Jan, rumors have been spreading around about it running on iPhone OS, this already makes my interest of iPad drop by half. In most of the market other than US itself, most of the designer uses Apple products due to the fact that they can provide the speed they wants. And Adobe have yet to design a line of product for iPhone OS, this makes what a tablet should do (editing images and rendering) much of a hassle.

Next is the GUI, it’s good that they finally allow user to set wallpaper on their springboard. However, I find it very disturbing to see the arrangement of the apps buttons; they have a HUGE spacing between each of them, this makes the entire looks of the GUI look ‘empty’.

Nevertheless, it is still a good job that they keep up in the market of tablet, not until they release the 2nd generation of iPad, it is hard to convince me and many others out there that want a machine that does more than just editing and gaming.

The few countries I want to go

January 17th, 2010 — 12:59pm

I had never had the same feeling 2 years ago; the feeling of going oversea. I always put off the idea of wasting money and go over to the other countries, I don’t see the reason or advantages me having when I do such things.

But things had change now, I finally get to know the feeling; its a kind of feeling different feeling you will have when you are not in your own country, the alertness level in you increases, the perspective you see gets wider, your knowledge expand, you start to put yourself in their shoes, try to live their way of living.

Here are some of the countries that I wish I could go and experience the different kind of living

-Paris
-Korea
-Japan
-Dubai (UAE)
-Switzerland
-Australia
-Currently for now…

There are some that I wish to go, but…EX… >.<

Thats all for this post ! Cya !

What am I talking about?

December 18th, 2009 — 3:51pm

When you never hope for it or heard it, it never did come out,

when you heard of it, it’s going to come out,

when you are nearing it, you get excited all about it,

when you get to know it, you feel the stress in it,

when you realize the requirement of it, you feel the ridiculous of it,

when you know your future is in the hand of it, you feel the unfairness of it,

when you screw the hell out of it, you know you ain’t the match of it,

finally when you know all the cons of it, its too late.

Make a guess. It isn’t hard.
